This qualification provides a trade outcome in wall and floor tiling for residential and commercial construction work. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as the specialist field of work, wall and floor tiling. Tilers work with materials like ceramic, glass, slate, marble and clay. They cut these materials and lay tiles on walls and floors, both interior and exterior. They may also add decorative touches to their basic work.

About Program

Entry Requirements

The CPC31320 – Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling allows direct entry into this qualification at the time of publication in training.gov.au. However, the Innoverse Institute requires candidates to meet its admission requirements prior to enrolling into this qualification to ensure that they have the required skills and knowledge to
successfully complete the qualification at this AQF level. This consists of:

English Entry Requirements

Note: Results older than two years are not acceptable (for offshore applicants)

OR

Evidence that they have studied in English for at least five years in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States

Evidence that, within two years of their application date, they have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or successfully completed substantial components (50% or more units according to the training package) Certificate IV or higher level qualification, from the Australian Qualifications Framework on a student visa.

OR

Applicants originating from students visa assessment levels 1 and 2 countries without the required IELTS or equivalent score must undertake the Language, Literacy, Numeracy (LLN) Digital (D) literacy test. Applicants must undertake English Placement Test on campus

All International Students (onshore and offshore)

All international students are required to complete a Pre-Training Review, including an LLND assessment, to identify individual training needs. This process evaluates the learner’s previous education or training, relevant work experience, and the suitability and relevance of the course to their learning goals. This assessment may be
conducted via video call or phone call for both onshore and offshore students.

Note: Students must complete CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (or equivalent) unit before any construction site visits.
